Yeddy Might Survive Trust Vote; Katta May be Asked to Quit

Bangalore, Oct 7: Crisis-ridden B S Yeddyurappa regime appears to have managed to win over most of the dissidents with the mediatory efforts of Bellary mining lords led by Tourism and Infrastructure Minister Gali Janardhana Reddy and BJP national general secretary Ananth Kumar under the leadership of the party high command emissary Venkaiah Naidu bearing fruit.

Even though the final details of the compromise formula are yet to be worked out, informed sources said the dissident legislators led by Excise Minister M P Renukacharya have been promised that the Chief Minister himself will apologise in order to pave the way for smoothening the process of reconciliation.

Another important part of the compromise formula, is to persuade Housing and IT-BT Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu to honourably quit rather than facing the ignominy of being sacked until the bribery charge in connection with the land compensation scandal involving his son Katta Jagadish, BBMP corporator from Vasanthnagar, is satisfactorily resolved.

The dissidents have been promised that many of the strong and disgruntled aspirants like Soraba MLA, Belur Gopalakrishna, former ministers S K Bellubbi and Goolihatti Shekar and possibly Shivanagouda Naik and the senior-most BJP MLA from Mysore turned dissident H S Shankaralinge Gowda might be inducted into the cabinet after the Yeddyurappa regime manages to win the trust vote in the State Assembly on October 11 or 12 as directed by the Governor.

State BJP president K S Eshwarappa has also predicted that the Yeddyurappa regime will survive and BJP Government will become stronger.

"The Congress and JD(S) leaders will have to hang their heads in shame for their toppling and destabilization attempts,” Eshwarappa said.

If the contours of the compromise formula that are being hammered out by Venkaiah Naidu with the help of the Reddy brothers and Ananth Kumar are accepted by the dissidents, it will surely increase the clout of Ananth Kumar and Reddy brothers while the chief minister might become more beholden to them and therefore vulnerable to further pressure tactics.

The dissidence in the party is because of some minor misunderstanding and will blow over,” Venkaiah Naidu said predicting that the crisis will blow over. ``We will remain untied and emerge stronger,” he quipped.

Though several ministers including B Sriramulu, V Somanna, Krishna Palemar, Dr V S Acharaya, S A Ravindranath, Revu Naik Belamagi and even S Suresh Kumar have offered to quit to help the Chief Minister to accommodate as many of the ministerial aspirants as possible, it is not known who will be asked to finally quit.

But, according to informed sources, the Chief Minister has already dropped six ministers and asking another 3 to 4 ministers to quit might help him to accommodate 8 to 10 ministerial aspirants and buy peace.

The final details are expected to be worked out by Sunday in order to enable the Chief Minister to face the trust vote in the State Assembly with more confidence.

@ Bharath, Bangalore you absolutely right for these words. "When will Karnataka progress if you have some traitors amongst us"

The only difference is Minorities and few Hindus support Congress and JD(S) whatever do? How big scam they do And Remaining Hindus Support BJP only with a delima that they support Hindus. Whatever BJP does wrong they will look as ve and blame Congress & JDS

Funniest part is BJP politians are not denying any allegations, instead they justify that everyone does this. So, what's their Motto?

Again you are 100%. WE KNOW FIGHT EACH OTHER, BLAME EACH OTHER BUT WE NEVER KNOW THAT WE ALL BELONG TO ONE COUNTRY AND ALL THESE POLITICIANS R*** OUR OWN COUNTRY

Barage of comments from the minorities, funny, BJP is the next best thing that could happen to Karnataka. JD (S) and Congress Govt after the Krishna administration was pathetic but wait, some how a congress or JD (s) although they stink smell so good for minorities. I think Minorities want Congress although they know it will establish a weak/unstable govt, haha. When will Karnataka progress if you have some traitors amongst us.

Perhaps all who where looking for fall of Mr.Yeddi will have to think twice now, as the Govt. will continue....  Perhaps, most comments earlier where in favour of Kumarswamy or Sidharamaih blindly, or in wake of day dreaming of toppling of state govt. So now most of writers have to wait for a long period to vomit their venom against govt.

The People of Karnataka have elected the BJP to power as they were not happy with other political parties. But the BJP govt has failed to keep up to their commitments. And they have also failed to provide a clean and good governance. On the contrary the way the Chief Minister trying to save the govt is by trying to please those ministers who are tainted, corrupt and shameless and the way these ministers are aspiring for ministries is disgusting.

We all know that other political parties have all looted when they were in power and acquired property by various illegal means. But that does not give any justification for the Chief Minister to acquire property illegally even if it is as small as 5 square feet, if he has acquired.

To save the face and to maintain the dignity and respect of the party, he has to quit like a gentleman and pave the way for honest, non corrupt and experienced people to take over.

We hope in the future the BJP High command will issue tickets only to people like Yogesh Bhat, and train party Karyakarthas to work for the good of the party and our Country and not for any particular person in the party.

I hope the High command of BJP will sack all the tainted ministers and give a stern warning to all MLA’s and try to save the Govt as another election now will unnecessarily cost the State thousands of crores of rupees and cost time of all those who will go to vote.
