Mangaluru: Man arrested for sexually harassing five-year-old girl

Mangaluru, Sep 12: Ullal police on Sunday September 12, detained a man for allegedly sexually harassing a five-year-old girl. The incident was reported near Natekal.

The accused is arrested under POCSO act is identified as Arif Pasha (30) hailing from Kalasipalya, Bengaluru. At present, he is residing at Kalkatta.

It is said that the accused, who knew the girl's father, had assured the girl of giving her some eatables. He had then taken the girl to a desolate area. She ran out of fear from the place and cried for help.

When activist couple Yashu Pakala from Talapady, who were travelling on a bike, noticed the girl crying for help, they questioned her. The girl then narrated her ordeal. The couple then caught the accused with the help of locals and handed him over to police.

I thought I am from a peaceful and great religion .. But these acts really makes my head hang in shame .. I wonder why my own community people are involved most of the time ? What steps my leaders and mullahs are taking to correct the mistakes .. Why my own people are not raising their voice against such acts .. If someone is sitting in Qatar and commenting then that doesn't mean they are intellectual and passed out from Cambridge university or any other university in Western countries. We studies from Indian universities and on daily basis i do shoot out at-least 3 to 4 emails to western clients. Also I tried to read the complete statements and i did understood along with people who agreed to my comments, as they are not uneducated and can understand simple English which was written. Try appreciating any govt, if they do good. in the past 7 years i have not supported all works of the govt. but at-least Few are good such as RERA (for this Congress was fully against), the tax on food at restaurant bill is reduced from 22% to 5 %, fast in which the road construction is going on, Military equipment etc etc etc (abbreviation of Et cetera is etc...
