JDS Indulging in Horse Trading, says Eshwarappa

Bangalore: JDS Indulging in Horse Trading, says Eshwarappa

Bangalore, Oct 10: State BJP president K S Eshwarappa alleged that former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy was indulging in horse trading through BJP MLA Appachu Ranjan to dislodge the state government.

He also released an audio CD substantiating the allegations. Eshwarappa, who held a meeting with party legislators at a private resort on the outskirts of the city, told presspersons that the CD contained conversation between Ranjan and Kumaraswamy that clearly indicated that the JDS indulging in horse trading by asking the BJP MLAs to vote against the government by offering money.

The State BJP chief alleged that Kumaraswamy had been luring the BJP MLAs by stating that they would offer everything if they abstained themselves during the trust vote. While, Kumaraswamy has been claiming that the JDS would not interfere in the internal affairs of the BJP, his visit it to Goa proves otherwise, he noted.

It is political conspiracy hatched by both Congress and JDS to destabilise the government, he alleged. However, the State BJP chief exuded confidence of the government winning the trust vote.

Meanwhile, Chamaraja MLA H S Shankaralinge Gowda of the BJP on Saturday joined the dissidents again. His volte-face comes within 48 hours after he first sided with the rebels but was persuaded to leave them by party workers, including his councillor-son Nandish Preetham.

With all these not-so-good political developments, Governor H R Bhardwaj has made it clear to politicians that he wants to ensure that democracy, rule of law and the Constitution are upheld in the state. “Any distortion or violation of law and rules of democracy will not go unnoticed.”

Commenting sarcastically on resort politics, the Governor said: “They can afford it, so what can I do? They like resorts more. Whether they go to a resort or a hotel or stay at home, the ugly show of wealth and use of musclemen is not a good sign of democracy. I am making a note of all this.”

Mr. Eshwarappa, if you keep quite
at this critical hour, that is
      wisdom. Being the President of
BJP, when you point the finger at
the other as "horse-traders", then people will consider you as a
mule-trader. BJP was the no 1
      political horse-traders of Indian
      political history. Sir, simply
      spend the time in self-reflection
about the past political trading and learn the hard spiritual lessons of life now. Good luck.

"Loose talk" Eshwarappa perhaps has not seen TV channels, where the rebel legislators (Balachandra Jharkiholi) said that it is the BJP which offered them 150 crores and not the JDS. They have further said that they have come out on their own accord and there is no pressure on them. People like "Loose talk" Eshwarappa and "Loo Ty" Ravi should be sent out of the BJP, not to mention that the whole BJP should be sent packing out lock stock and barrel.

If the MLAs want to change party or oppose party they should resign and contest from the party of their choice. That is what happened so far and is legal whether morally right or wrong. Let these dissatisfied MLAs also resign and face elections from whichever party they want.

The dirty Political Slave-Trading what JD(S) is doing at present are disgraceful and should be condemned. This will bring a great disrepute to the elected representative who is ready to sell themselves for monitory benefits.
This will corrupt the tender minds of the youth who is our GenNext. No dirty MLAs who were sold in Horse-Trading are worthy candidates to lead our state. The Election Commission should bring more reformation and stop such shameful practices in the future.

Arrogant behaviour from both Yeddi & Eshwarappa resulted in this Basmasura like situation. Why blame others for your misgovernance & corruption-these disgruntled MLA's are demanding their piece of pie in your loot, which was denied to them all this long.

I think, this guv. who "wants to uphold the rule of law and constitution" is the root-cause of the present scenario. He worked with Congi and JDS to bring down the people elected govt. Now Mr. Devegoonda who has just 28 MLAs with him will become the kingmaker. Then this shameless guv. will say that he has worked within the Constitution.

What you saw what you reap. This proverb is 100% correct as far as BJP is concerned.
Who started dirty politics in the name of OPERATION KAMALA? Its BJP who started this ugly culture of converting elected MLA's from other parties to BJP.
They have no moral right to accuse anyone as they are the inventors of this.
They went on to pull down the then Dharam Singh Govt. and formed govt with Kumaraswamy.
In media we hear about fixing crores of rupees deals everyday. Can anyone tell me from where this money come from. Why don't the tax department and police dept take any action?. Horse trading has been glorified to such an extent as if it is a great charity work. People have lost total faith in democracy.
