Mangalore, Oct 10: As a part of platinum jubilee celebrations of St Vincent Ferrer Church, Valencia, an inter-ward sports meet was held on Sunday October 10.

Church Administrative Committee vice-president Arun Raj welcomed and compered the inaugural programme. International acclaimed body builder Vincent Prakash Carlo inaugurated the meet.

Many events including running race were held and in all, there were participants from 16 wards. Prizes were given to the winners immediately after each event by chief guest Carlo.

Patrick D’Souza was the torch-bearer and Rita D’Souza was the flag-bearer. Fr Roshan Crasta, assistant parish priest, Flavia Sequeira, Church Administrative Committee secretary and Loui Pinto among others were present on the occasion.
