Mangalore: Prakash Shetty Ulepady Excels at National Level Rangoly Contest

New Delhi, Oct 12: Well-known caricaturist and multi-faceted personality, Prakash Shetty Ulepady, bagged the second place in the national level Rangoly contest organized in the union textile ministry on the occasion of the ongoing Commonwealth Games. The contest was organized at Hyatt Regency, New Delhi, under the banner, ‘Master Creation’.
Union textiles minister, Dayanidhi Maran, handed over the award to Shetty at the inaugural of ‘Hastkriti’, an exhibition of works by national award-winning artistes, on October 6.
It may be recalled that Shetty has carved out a niche for himself through his talent, and exhibitions of his caricatures are regularly being organized. He had also won the ‘Rajesh Shibaje Young Journalist Media Award’ sometime back.
