Moodbidri, Sep 18: BJP Karnataka unit president and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, accused the officials of erroneously acting in the matter of evicting a temple in Nanjangud.
He asserted that the BJP-led government is committed to the protection of religious places and righteousness, duly adding that the government is contemplating reconstruction of the demolished temple.
Nalin stated that the officials brought down the temple structure in order to obey the Supreme Court order.
"The chief minister has already issued certain instructions to the officials relating to the eviction of temples. We have also taken a decision at the party meeting and legislature party meeting with regard to pursuing legal measures to retain the temples," he explained.
