Davanagere, Sep 19: With BJP leaders unanimously giving the green signal, Yediyurappa is all set to embark on his statewide tour being undertaken to strengthen the party and ensures that it retains power in the next elections.
Chief minister Basavaraj Bommai, BJP state incharge Arun Singh, state president Nalin Kumar Kateel and other leaders of BJP consented to Yediyurappa's tour during the state executive meeting being held in the city.
In addition, the leaders have promised that they will support Yediyurappa in order to bring BJP back to power in next assembly elections. As decided, Yediyurappa's tour will begin after the assembly session gets over.
Arun Singh said, "The tour intended to be conducted by former CM Yediyurappa does not require a green signal. Excellent administration is going on under the leadership of CM Bommai. He has done good work in a short period. He is giving attention to all classes of people of our society.”
Yediyurappa said, "My tour for strengthening the party has already started. I have visited Mysuru region. I have been running around relentlessly. Whether it is me or the state president, we will go throughout the state and make the party strong. We will start working from today itself to bring BJP to power once again in the next assembly elections by winning 130 to 140 seats."
Nalin Kumar Kateel said, "There is no question of sidelining former CM Yediyurappa. Everything is being done under his guidance. There is no obstruction for his state tour."
State BJP vice-president Vijayendra said, "Whether Yediyurappa has power or not, he will tour all over Karnataka and instill strength into state BJP and bring it back to power."
