Oman, Oct 16: The Bunts of Oman will celebrate their 23 years of togetherness with 'Bunts Festival 2010' that will showcase their rich cultural heritage and tradition.

Three events will be organised during the course of the celebrations. On October 22 there will be a food festival at Ramee Dream Resort, Seeb from 11 am to 3 pm, featuring delectable traditional Bunt cuisine. There will also be games to entertain the participants. The event will be the first of its kind held in Oman.

On October 29 will be a day for outdoor sports. Apart from cricket, there will be volleyball, throw ball and also athletic events like race, relays and fun games, all to be played at Sidab Football Stadium. The sports events will start early at 6.30 am and end at 5.30 pm.

The final family get-together will be held on November 26 with cultural activities and games at Le Grand Hall, Hotel Al Falaj. The event is expected to be a total entertainer with songs, dances, skits etc marking the occasion.

Members of the Bunts community in Oman who are interested in participating in the events for the family get-together are requested to confirm their participation by November 15 by contacting Mamatha Shetty on 24613463 or Veena Shetty on 24815630.
