Bangalore: Meeting of Kumaraswamy with Moily, Siddu, Shrouded in Mystery

Daijiworld Media Network – Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Oct 18: In the backdrop of the High Court (HC) verdict on a writ petition filed by the disqualified legislators likely to be pronounced on Monday October 18, former state Chief Minister and JDS state president, H D Kumaraswamy, was closeted in a long-drawn meeting with the leader of the opposition in the assembly, Siddaramaiah, and union law minister, Veerappa Moily, who was in the city to participate in Dasara celebrations, on Saturday October 16. While the JDS and the Congress pin hopes on the HC verdict to floor the Yeddyurappa-led BJP government in the state, the fact that Moily, who is largely credited with playing a role in saving the BJP government against the recommendations of the Governor, was parley to the discussions, has risen many eyebrows. When questioned, Siddaramaiah merely said that there was nothing important, just a casual meeting with his party leader, during which he said kept Moily abreast of the present political scenario in the state.

In the meanwhile, it is reliably learnt that the BJP is preparing to launch another bout of ‘Operation Kamala’ to defeat the designs of the opposition leaders. State Congress president, R V Deshpande, has already accused the BJP of offering lures to the Congress legislators. It is said that Kunigal MLA, Ramaswamy Gowda of the Congress, has gone missing. Reports say that Gowda has severed links with the party leaders and gone to an undisclosed destination.

Kumaraswamy held discussions again with Congress leaders, C M Ibrahim and Siddaramaiah, at Ibrahim’s residence on Sunday. Reportedly, the leaders discussed about the ways and means to thwart the efforts being made by the BJP to entice their legislators into its fold.  At the meeting, it was decided to move all the Congress and JDS leaders to a resort for a few days, to keep the BJP from contacting them. The Congress legislature party meeting is being convened in Vidhan Soudha on Monday. The JDS legislators and 16 disqualified legislators, who had been staying at Eagleton Resort near Bidadi, have since been shifted to Golden Palm Resort on Tumkur Road.

I don't understand how a new govt can be formed as 11 'rebel' BJP MLAs will be eventually disqualified unless they support a BJP government. There is absolutely no way they can support a non-BJP government. And majority of BJP MLAs support Yeddyurappa.

I hope BSY will resign today after the court verdict no way he can face another trust vote. The court verdict is going to be against him. We will have new govt soon. Then we will have electricity every day without break, we will have rice at Rs.3/Kg. All Kannada Medium students will have Cycles. We will have concrete roads. Metro trains will start running. No traffic jam, we will have Volvo AC buses flying on the streets. Our highways will have 4 lanes. Give one chance to Siddramaya and see the difference.

Both Congress & JDS are expecting court verdict in their favor. I feel High court will disqualify 11 rebels but 5 independents will get back their rights, High court will condemn the actions taken by the speaker. But since the 11 rebels have not gone against the party whip they have chances 50-50. Without the help of the 11 rebels Opposition parties cannot bring down BSY govt. because BJP have absolute majority despite 5 independent MLAs support. Sidhu, Kumaraswami & Moilly are planning for the next govt. after the fall of BSY govt.

Instead of moving all MLAs to the resort and having fun, take them their respective constituency and make them check the reality of the citizens so that they may forget their politics for some time.

There is lot of discussions are going on from 3 major political parties of Karanataka seeing 18 th verdict of HC over the issue of disqualification. The latest breaking news was one Cong MLA "NOT REACHABLE"or "OUT OF RANGE"There may be further more MLAs either not reachable or out of range which vindicating GOV's advise of President rule in Karanataka.BJP is planning for a another "OK" by bribing and giving ministrial berth to JOLLU SURSHIVA MLAs.

In this context MOILY-HDK-SIDDU-AMBI's meeting each other is certainly a mystery!?BJP govt has no numbers in it's favor at present and most of the MLAs are in favour of changing the leadership.Even Reddy brothers are gunning for DCM post which makes things difficult to run the govt and Yeddy/BJP.Considering all these negative developments and hores trading of MLAs,Gov need to take actions to safe gaurd democratical values and precedents of Karnataka.
