With 775 new coronavirus cases, Karnataka continues to maintain steady decline

Bengaluru, Sep 26: Karnataka on Sunday September 26 continued to maintain a steady rate in the number of new coronavirus cases, with the state reporting 775 infections.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 13,213. Among the districts, Bengaluru Urban registered the highest number of single-day cases with 255 new infections, while Dakshina Kannada reported 99 new cases.

Nine deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Sunday, with Bengaluru Urban alone recording three fatalities. With this, the toll so far has risen to 37,726.

The state recorded 860 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 29,22,427.

So far, Karnataka has seen 29,73,395 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 0.54%, while the case fatality rate for the day was also 1.16%.

As many as 5,46,12,960 people have received vaccination so far.

    People needs to be more carefull and serious about covid...Wear N95 mask or double surgical mask and avoid crowds to beat this pandemic.And try to bring down the number below 500.Take vaccines to beat the pandemic...Another 6 months is crucial for everyone.Try to avoid gathering for next 4 to 6 months...Thats it.No need to panic if person tests positive..I don't want people to make same mistakes that happened during 2nd wave..

    As I know this Corona is not much higher than the common cold we were experiencing since our birth. It is going to be there forever like common cold and fever. Third wave affecting only children is a fake assumption as if virus knows the age of the person affecting.....!!!!!!!!
