Byndoor, Sep 27: A case stands registered at Gangolli police station against certain persons, accusing them of capturing on video the slaughter of cows near the house of Mali Rizwan in Gangolli village and other places, and sharing the same on social media. The complaint says that those who made the video and uploaded the same want to ignite communal passions.
The case has been filed against several people. It is said that the cows were stolen and brought to near the fish market of Gangolli, a communally sensitive area. Their legs were tied together in a violent way and killed in a crude manner with the specific intention of hurting Hindu sentiments. The video was uploaded in social websites on September 24. The complaint mentions that the concerned had illegally slaughtered the animals in public places with the aim of starting communal violence.

Mali Rizwan, Moulvi and Urdu school head, Maullana Hadi, Iliyas living near Janata Ice Factory, Mali Subhan, Abu Sali, Abdul Razack, Majeed alias Fitter Majeed, Mohammad Ibrahim, Imam Shekh and others have been named as accused. Gangolli police are investigating.
