Kannada small-screen actress Soujanya ends life, leaves behind 4-page death note

Bengaluru, Sep 30 (IANS): Noted Kannada small-screen actress Soujanya was found dead in suspicious circumstances in an apartment near Doddabele village on the outskirts of Bengaluru city in neighbouring Ramnagar district on Friday.

Soujanya left a four-page death note before taking the extreme step of allegedly committing suicide. She claimed that her mental state was not good and she could not take it anymore. The police have yet to ascertain the exact reason for the alleged suicide.

Her death note read: "I am really sorry for doing this. Pappa I love you so much. As I spoke to you I am not able to take it anymore. It is becoming difficult 'appa' (father). Sorry mommy, as I said I will come today, I did not know I would come this way. So sorry Ma. I am so sorry about this. Please Pappa you have to take care of your mother.

"I love you all. Behind this my mental state is not good. Health issues are killing from inside. So I felt better doing this. I am so sorry. Even now I don't feel like doing this. But, Pappa, mommy, I am sorry, I love you for everything."

Ramnagar SP Girish said the police were informed about the alleged suicide at about 11 a.m. on Friday. The went to the scene at once and recovered the death note.

Soujanya was living alone in the apartment for a year and half. Preliminary investigations by the police suggest it was a case of suicide, but it can be ascertained only after the post-mortem report is completed.

    Its indeed a very sad incident. Mental Health is surely a cause of great worry to all of you. today by this message on Daiji I want to tell our Young Children you are the future, Social Media has a great influence on us. My Children "Do u think that what your friends display on their status is True or actual Fun?" posting pics of food and some other stuff... the answer is a BIG NO, these FaceBook, Intagram. SnapChat and all the other platforms are just a profit making businesses. You post they make the money. Guys clicking some random pics of food and other things and posting it is a big no no... your life is better not having to see other peoples lives which they display on these platforms. Its only a display, please understand this. The clothes they were may be its just in the mall closet or just borrowed once. The food they post might be there went once somewhere..... So my kids don't indulge in these things parents have a tab on your children even if they are 21 and 22 see that they don't showcase their life.

    Flavian Kuwait,it is true.specially people from show biz ,have to struggle a lot to be in news,get tickets,a part in cinema.or in a big show.Many dont have money ,some have to borrow from parents ,when no part comes their way.Some are going to the extreem to be nude or so,to be in talk.May be she was under depression ,couldnt come out of it,took extreem step.Didnt want to tell parents directly about her situation.or was sick?God knows.thank God we are in a situation where no crow interested us or we him.May be she was sick with corona?and later depression.May her soul rest in peace .Heartfelt sympathy to her family.Somehow this year these selfmord numbers are on rise ,more thn last year.

    Life is so weird yet times. It looks like people were a lot Happier in the earlier times than now. Even with so many platforms to find friends and well wishers, in times like these you would hardly find someone who’s free to even pick your call and talk to you . All that happened was technology moved up the ladder but human kind and its kindness stepped down! If God said spread love, people have used the said technology to spread hatred instead. Depression can be treated.. love, time and patience is the key medicine in these cases.. even though a celebrity, she possibly could not find someone she could confide in and lost her battle with life.. I see so many blaming others, or even the circumstances here.. the main thing one should understand here is, Depression is a sickness just like cancer.. just the way sickness like cancer has no reason so does depression! It just happens! Those that blame others for it, ask yourself if you did anything to save someone from giving up.. if yes, then start your blame game.. else be supportive to a better cause and be a friend to ppl instead.. And to those feel low and have thoughts of giving up, to save yourself from you find someone you could talk to.. don’t lose hope so soon! Let’s make the world a better place for all to live in

    A very good reflection by Mr. Rodrigues. It is very true that people are lost with the technology, be it family, parents or children, people just on smart -phone. Trying to connect the unseen but forgetting the presence and home. Virtually we may connect hours together with the unknown and unseen but in reality we don't want to connect with our own people around us. Save the world from this dredged disease!

Whose sting has gone after first wave but due to these so called vaccines for their billions of dollor business continuity, It is ongoing. Same time despairing millions of poor, medium and normal rich people due to these lockdowns, business and job losses. Looks like some news media have been financed sufficiently and provided infra for it even to run several years including vaccination program coverage. Also elite greed for money, power and control, who dies and how, their who cares attitude. India alone vaccination is a trillion dollor plus business! because of vast population.     Only having lots of money and status would not guarantee smooth sailing in life. We need to practice regular prayers and social mingling and keep smiling and enjoying health laughs in life. Lonelyness is not good at all in life. Maintaining mental health is vital to living a happy, healthy life. But unfortunately, millions of people struggle with mental illnesses that leave them feeling hopeless, helpless and alone. Many turn to drugs and alcohol to numb this pain and cope with the mental conditions they face.

    Very sad to hear this. Soujanya is now freed from the internal struggle she has been experiencing which her mind could not cope with. No person is truly happy until he is dead, seems that this ancient saying is true. Modern way of life, the curse of global pandemic take a huge toll on people and suicide is often the real result of that distress.

    According to WHO, india is the most depressed country on earth, just look at the sheer unemployment, inflation, cheats and frauds everywhere along with rapists and murderers, not to mention our holier than thou politicians, police, it's a complete mess. Only god can save this country from disaster. Icing on the cake… communalism. Just look at the hatred people have for each other. Unbelievable.
