Doha, Oct 1: Wilfy’s Konkani Sangeet Gharana, will present the 282nd ‘Wilfy Nite’ to celebrate 50 glorious years of Wilfy Nites and 50 years of Konkan Kogul” title’on October 1 evening at 5:30 pm Qatar time and 8 PM Indian time.
The 282nd Wilfy Nite will have the essence of the 1st Wilfy Nite that was held in the year 1971. Renowned 19 voices from Qatar will come together to recreate the magic of 1st Wilfy Nite’. The songs that were sung for the 1st Wilfy Nite will be presented yet again keeping the flavor of the 70s. The singers who were present for 1st Wilfy Nite will share their memories. The audience will get to listen to the original Aaudio clippings of few songs sung at the 1st Wilfy Nite.
The highlight of the evening will be the 1st ever Konkani Qawwali that was sung at the 1st Wilfy Nite and will be sung yet again. Over and above, Wilfy’s Konkani Sangeet Gharana promises a great memorable evening on October 1.
