Bengaluru: Idlis with ice cream sticks - New, convincing combination

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Oct 1: People have been experimenting with Idlis since times immemorial. To make the food attractive and tasty, hotels often spring surprises with their new ideas of taste or presentation. Some come up with peculiar and odd ideas which sometimes get criticisms instead of praise.

In the latest attempt, a restaurant from Bengaluru has started supplying idlis steamed with ice cream sticks stuck into them so that people can conveniently handle the idlis and eat them by soaking them in chutney or sambar as per their likes, has attracted a lot of attention.

The photo was posted on twitter. The picture of the Idlis along with coconut chutney and sambar provides an appetizing appearance and therefore seems destined to become popular with the connoisseurs of food as well.

Western countries, including China continue inventing new products and here our people destroy the original, classic products with meaningless additions. If they want to comeout with something new try your ways but not to destroy the popularily accepted use. Lockdown period must have forced them to utilize free time to tecreate something worse.

It is a most amazing move. Indians have to catch up with the table manners. Not many people get to wash their hands properly before visiting an eatery. One never knows what one touches! There are people visiting toilets and touching surfaces that are also touched by others going into an eatery. That is precisely the reason why the Western countries use cutlery and the Eastern countries use chopsticks. India desperately needs to hurry up into the world of cutlery, chopsticks or something else.

... yes, we have to stop using water and use only tissues in the 'sandas' to catch up the western countries 😁😁😁

We use only one washing machine 4 times a week. Formal white clothes, formal coloured clothes, house wear and under garments. Why you need two separate washing machines?

    DisAgree Agree [5] Report Abuse

    Sat, Oct 02 2021

Why two washing machines because Kishore kumar says, here in Mangaluru, we should stop using water in sandas and dtart using tissues. If we use tissues unlike foreign countries, all the inner garments may get soiled. So, these inner clothes cannot mix up with the outer clothes. People of Western countries pass dry excreta because their food and weather is like that. In india, our food habits are different and slmost everyday bowels are getting cleaned up once or twice a day and not with dry....Tissues will make clean the area? Can you see and clesn?

The Orginal and Traditional Round Shaped Idlis will be the BEST at all times. Using a Stick to eat and Indian Breakfast will not give you a full satisification. The pleasure of tearing the idlis with your fingers and dipping it in sambar and chutney and eating with your fingers will give you the ultimate satisification. At one point when you are eating with the stick at the end you are forced to use your fingers to clear the last bit, then why we need stick .Indian Food has to be eaten the traditional way. No Substitute to Orginal
