Debris from destroyed Houthi drones fall on Saudi homes

Riyadh, Oct 2: The militia seized Yemen capital, Sanaa in 2014 and currently engaged in conflicts in a number of fronts across the country against the government including in the resource-rich Marib province, where clashes have intensified in recent weeks.

The Saudi –led Arab coalition has been fighting the Militia across Yemen to restore the Internationally recognized government to power.

The Houthi’s targeting civilian areas has been called a war crime by Saudi Arabia. A Houthi drone targeting the Southern city of Khamis Mushayt was destroyed by the Arab coalition on Tuesday.

Falling debris from the Houthi done which was intercepted by Saudi Air defences damaged houses and shops in the Southern region of Jazan, officials said on Saturday.

Col Mohammed Al-Ghamdi, spokesperson for the Civil Defense Directorate in Jazan, said, the drone fragments of the bomb –laden unmanned aircraft scattered over a residential neighbourhood in Uhud Al-Masarah governorate, did not result in death or injury.
