Mysuru: Congress will break into two factions before next assembly elections – Minister Eshwarappa

Daijiworld Media Network – Mysuru (MS)

Mysuru, Oct 3: Minister K S Eshwarappa ridiculed the statement of KPCC president Shivakumar that more than 20 MLAs of Mysuru province are in touch with him. He said, “Siddaramaiah wants to be chief minister (CM) at any cost. D K Shivakumar wants to pull BJP MLAs by hook or crook. Both these insane people have to be admitted to mental asylum. There is not solution for this.”

Speaking to the reporters in the city, Eshwarappa further said, “Some have lost their mind in order to get a MLA ticket. Some have gone insane as they did not get a MLA ticket. Siddaramaiah dreams of becoming CM again. Why the people did not vote for you people in the last election? Why you suffered defeat in Chamundeshwari?”

With regards to caste census, Eshwarappa said, “Siddaramaiah has taken short cut in order to organize. Why he did not raise the matter of caste census in the assembly? Though the caste census report was ready during the regime of H D Kumaraswamy he did not present it in the assembly. Then Congress should have taken back their support. Why they did not withdraw the support then?

“These people do not want all these things to happen. Their only aim is power. Congress will get divided into two before the next legislative assembly elections. There is no doubt about it. Both Siddaramaiah and D K Shivakumar are hell bent on becoming CM,” he said.

With regards to the issue of making the next election results of no clear mandate to any party by JD (S), Eshwarappa said, “Kumaraswamy has spoken about his intentions. Siddaramaiah has expressed his pain and anguish. They are under the impression that they can join any other party and administer the state. I will not react to his statement.”
