Bantwal, Oct 4: A Narayana Swamy, union minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment opined that Karnataka is role model to whole India in implementing the schemes of the government with regards to development and administration.
Narayana Swamy was speaking after inaugurating the state level information workshop ‘Anthyodaya’, of various projects that was held at Buntara Bhavana of Brahmarakootlu in the taluk on Monday, October 4.
Swamy further said, “Throughout the country, 1.40 crore people are being given skill training. In every district DCs have to form awareness committee and discuss development. After independence of the country, organizations that need to work towards the development of the country are indulged in only sloganeering.’
Swamy congratulated minister Kota Srinivas Poojary for organizing special awareness programme.
Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik said that the programme of realizing the dreams of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya is realized due to the participation of panchayat members.
Speaking on the occasion, Nalin Kumar Kateel said, “Every gram panchayat is being provided with direct grant under the 15th finance project as per the thinking of PM Modi. Minister Poojary puts in continuous efforts to see that the schemes reach public.”
Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary said, “In the wake of providing transparent administration, the gram panchayat is centralized and applications will be received through online from beneficiaries. Everyone has to strive to maintain communal harmony for the sake of society.”
Guest Jayaprakash Hegde said, “Ambedkar policy was that the reservation should be given on the basis of social, education background. Only when values and issues pertaining to commoners are there in administration it is called politics.”
MLAs Dr Bharath Shetty, Harish Poonja, Sanjeev Matandoor, U T Khader, MLC Pratap Simha Nayak, DC Dr Rajendra K V and other officials were present.
Five students of Morarji Desai School, who scored high marks in SSLC were felicitated on the occasion. CEO of Dakshina Kannada zilla panchayat Dr Kumar welcomed the gathering. District officer of backward classes welfare department Sachin Kumar rendered the vote of thanks. Manjula Shetty compered the programme.
A video of good wishes by chief minister Basavaraj Bommai was displayed after the inauguration. Both Minister Angara and Sriramulu were absent in the programme.
