Mangalore, Oct 24: Shree Chakrapani School of Arts has been organizing the state level art competitions, Chiguru  every year since 2004. The continuous and dedicated effort has enabled the organization to
successfully explore and introduce new talents to the world of fine arts, thereby keeping the cultural world fresh and green.

Chiguru has provided a fillip to budding artists throughout the state to realize their full potential. The Shree Chakrapani Fine Arts and Educational Trust now wants to expand the scope of the programme considering the demand from the schools of neighbouring states. This  has motivated us to organize the First South Zone Drawing Competition 2011 for the students of Andaman-Nicobar, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Pondicherry and Tamil Nadu.

The programme, Chiguru has completed six successful years due to the encouragement of art lovers and generous philanthropists. The objectives of drawing competition has been to promote and popularize Indian art, recognize and honour deserving artists, discover and display the hidden talent, motivate the budding artists to blossom in the field of art.

Pre Primary-I Optional (Any Drawing )
II –IV Optional ( Any Drawing )
V –VII “My Environment”.
VIII – X “ My India – 2020”
XI - XII “ My Role in Protecting the Environment”

Prizes

Each Category Three Prizes of Rs.5000-00 Each + Special Gifts
Each Category One Consolation Prize of Rs.1000-00 each to the participants from every state.
Merit certificate to 25,000 participants.

SOUTH ZONE DRAWING COMPETITION -2011

Rules & Regulations

  • Only one drawing per participant to be submitted.
  • Size= 26 cm x 22 cm.
  • Water Colour, Crayons, Colour Pencil, etc. could be used to fill the colour.
  • Drawings received will not be returned. Organizers reserve the right of usage of the drawings.
  • Entry form and drawing sheet should be attested by the Head of the Institution
  • Decision of the judges is final.
  • Those selected in the first round will take part in finalrRound to be held in Mangalore (Karnataka). The organizers will provide travelling allowance, lodging and boarding to all the participants of the final
    round.
  • Rs 50 will be is collected as entry fee.
  • Entry fee must be sent only through DD in favour of  “Shree Chakrapani
  • Fine Arts and Educational Trust ® ” DD must be sent along with the drawing and the DD number must be
    compulsorily written in the registration form.
  • LAST DATE for receiving drawings: 26-12-2010
