Mangaluru, Oct 10: 'Team Black Fox' on Sunday, October 10 marked its second anniversary in a meaningful way by organising 'Grand MeetUp-2021', a bike rally to create awareness on safe riding.
The rally was flagged at St Lawrence Church, Bondel, and culminated in Padubidri in Udupi district.
As many as 160 bikers riding an array of bikes from Mangaluru, Ujire, Karkala, Moodbidri and Udupi gathered on the premises of Bondel church to take part in the rally.
Addressing the gathering, assistant parish priest of Bondel church Fr Rupesh said, "It is indeed a great pleasure that such a nice event is happening on Bondel church grounds. Team Black Fox is observing its second anniversary by educating and creating awareness among the public on safe bike riding. May their effort in this cause continue in future too. I wish them all the best."
Walter Nandalike, managing director of Daijiworld Media said, "We are really happy to attend this programme. There are various kinds of bikes on the ground and many bike riders have gathered here to create awareness on safe riding. Each biker has his own speed and style of riding the bike. The entire city will be watching you, hence, through this event you should send a good message on safe riding to the undivided districts."
He also said that while riding, the bike rider should remember that his family members and loved ones are waiting for him at home, hence he should wear helmet, maintain limited speed and follow traffic rules. "Events like these to create awareness on safe riding will go a long way in reducing road accidents," he added.
Girish Shet, vlogger of 'Weekend on Wheels' said, "By riding in the right manner, the bikers should exemplify that Mangaluru has the safest roads for bikers."
He also lauded Team Black Fox for organising such awareness events in a disciplined manner. "This shows how committed they are," he said.
Prem Rasquinha of Sterocat Motovlogs, stressing the importance of following traffic rules, said, "The biker should ensure that he is wearing proper safety gear before riding the bike and follow the rules properly."
