Mandd Sobhann Bags 6th Pingara Rajyothsava Award

Mangalore, Oct 28: Mandd Sobhann, world’s premier Konkani cultural organization, bagged the Pingara Rajyotsava award instituted by Pingara, Kannada Weekly Magazine of Mangalore.
A colorful award ceremony will be organized in Town Hall on Tuesday Nov 9, informed Raymond D'Cunha, editor of ‘Pingara Pathrika’ at a press conference held here on Thursday, Oct 28.

Renowned singer Anitha Samson and troupe will entertain the audience at 5.30 pm. Award giving ceremony will be held at 6 pm.
Harikrishna Punaroor, president of Karnataka Sahitya Parishad, Fr William Menezes, PRO, Mangalore Diocese, Janardhan Hande, Yakshagana artiste were the jury to select the awardee.
Journalist K Dayanand Pai, Dr M Mohan Alva, Daijiworld Editor Walter Nandalike, Grace Pinto, Ryan Education Institutes and Shree Kshethra Dharmastala Rural Development Project have been the recipients of the the award in the past years.
Esha Vittaldasa Swamiji of Shree Kshethra Kemaru will offer the blessing speech. Sudheer P Ghate of Magnum Intergraphics will preside. Dr L H Manjunath of Shree Kshethra Dharmastala Rural Development Project will be the chief guest.
Dr M Mohan Alva, MLA K Abhaychandra Jain and Jyothika Jain will be the special guests at the award giving ceremony. Raymond D’Cunha, Sunil D’Cunha, Mamatha G Rao and Elias Fernandes were present at the press meet.
