Bengaluru, Oct 22: The department of public instruction has published guidelines to be followed for the reopening of primary classes from standards 1 to 5 from October 25 onwards.
The teachers have to divide the students into different groups for teaching. Teachers aged above 50 have to necessarily wear face shields.
The children will get midday meals from November 2. It would be advisable for the students to bring hot water from their own homes. The government, private and aided schools have to form separate student teams and physical classes have to be held for half a day from October 25 to 30. From November 2, full time classes have to begin.

The schools have to provide the facility of hot water in the schools. As physical classes are beginning after a gap of 18 months, during the first week, priority should be given to establishing connection with each other, the order said.
Classes have to be held from October 25 to 30 between 10 am and 1.30 pm. On Saturday, the classes will l begin at 8 and end at 11.40 am. From November 2, timings of the classes will be from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm on other days and 8 am to 11.40 M Saturdays.
