Bangkok: Kannada Balaga Celebrates Rajyotsava, Diwali with Fervour

Bangkok, Oct 31: The Thailand Kannada Balaga celebrated the Diwali and Kannada Rajyotsava at Montien Riverside Hotel here on Saturday October 30.

Ramesh Bhat, the secretary general food supplies for UN office Thailand and his wife inaugurated the function by lighting Diwali lamps.















The children and adults performed various cultural programmes that included traditional dances and songs by Kannadigas living in Thailand. The famous ventriloquist Indushree, Bangalore was invited to perform at the function. She entertained the gathering with mimicry and jokes accompanied by her her puppet Dinku.


Vincy Daniel Pinto, president of TKB presented the memento and flowers to the chief guest Indushree.
Suprabha Shetty compered the programme and Laxmi Acharya concluded the day with the vote of thanks.
