Karkala, Oct 22: In an incident in which the cattle that were tied in order to be slaughtered and also beef meat that was intended for sale were confiscated at Sankalakariya of Mundkoor village in the taluk on Friday October 22.
Police of the rural police station confiscated the cows that were tied near the house of Rahim at Sankalakariya. Sub inspector and police personnel of Karkala rural police station acted on definite information. Five cows and three calves were rescued in the operation. In addition, 25 kilos of beef meat was also confiscated by the cops.
The rescued cows are handed over to Goshala.
