Mangaluru: 11-year-old girl goes missing, found dead in river at Kudroli

Mangaluru, Oct 24: An 11-year-old girl, who went missing from her home on the morning of Sunday, October 24 was found dead in a river near her house in the afternoon.

The deceased girl has been identified as Mufeeda (11), daughter of Salam, resident of Hyderali road in Kudroli here.

She went missing from her house at around 8 am on Sunday. The worried family members and locals searched for the girl at various places but the search did not yield any result.

When the CCTV footage of a nearby house was checked, it came to light that the girl was walking towards the river which was around 200 meters away from her home. The locals then searched near the Kudroli river and found the girl's body.

It is said that the deceased girl had a deficient intellect and had gone out of the house by opening the door when the family members were busy with household work.

Bunder police station sent the body to Wenlock hospital. Local corporator Shamsuddin said that the funeral of the girl will take place at Nadupalli cemetery after the post-mortem.

Its just simple watch on kids wrist ..insert a data enabled sim in it . then through APP list who can call the kids if needed . They are cheap doesn't call for any Mr.modi!! buy and make kids safe around. Thats it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Jossey S.Thane ,where it is said someone harmed this girl?Only said ccctv showed she was walking towards the River.she may not be knowing to swimm,afterall she had some problem too.Dont bring in what is not there.Let us pray for her soul.Noone know what happened.such children should be always on watch.Sad she is now no more.Heartfelt sympathy to her parents.Hope it will be cleared soon.

    Though her health was not soo good physically, can understand that, this sweet angel was looked after very well. Yes, 24 hours should be vigilant. But, sometimes, rarely our attention goes towards other important direction....during this bad time, this incident happened....so sad

    Cynthia DK,we can make out when you see her foto,that she is different than normal.Well ,some have not the luck of everything goes normal.but we have to carry our cross as it is.Such people like in senior homes should be fixed with a leg or hand a names and house nr,and a elektronic chip a simple band .It makes noice during entry or leave their house .It helps a lot during day when others are unaware of their leaving residence.Nobody can say what happened to her.

    A Concerned Citizen, Mangalore; Emotions and sympathies are good. But keeping this arise, airing opinion is not at all wrong. As per CCTV, this deceased 11 years girl was walking almost 200 mtrs towards the river. She has mental deficiency and how come this angelic girl of 11 years alone walking at 8.00 am, this Sunday, without any influence & assistance. Jossy raised a right question.

    I agree with you wholeheartedly. But, please clarify my one more doubt. He says he will be conducting sessions at St. Aloysius college during the last week of December. He mentioned the name of the principal of degree college for verification. What's your say in this ? With 24 hours on social media, daiji forum, how he can prepare for the sessions and on what topics. All the time after 2014, UP, mera managalur badal raha he, 15 lacs......Not taking further steps and moving forward. Stuck on those points.
