Mangalore: ‘Sadhaka Award - 2010’ Conferred on 12 Achievers

Mangalore, Nov 1: The Dakshina Kannada district Rajyotsava Sadhaka Award - 2010 was conferred on 12 achievers at a programme held in Town Hall here on Monday Nov 1.
The award was sponsored by the Dakshina Kannada district Sahitya Parishat.
The awards are given to persons of eminence for their achievements in their respective fields.
Dr N V Upadyaya, who is aged 100, was honoured on the occasion.
The other award winners were Kumari Chaithra (singing), Nikhitha (Bharatanatyam), Priyanka (Karnataka classical music), Prihali (multi-talented), Krithi K Shetty (multi-talented), Ashwin (weight lifting), Nishanth Kumar (Kannada studies), Ankhita Ramesh Rai, Mumbai (multi-talented), Suresh Shetty Yayyadi (Gadinada Sanghatane), Arundathi P Rao (education) and Shyam Jadugar (magician).
