Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 25: Dakshina Kannada on Monday, October 25 reported 30 new coronavirus cases while Udupi registered 4 cases.
As per the Dakshina Kannada district health bulletin, a total of 20,60,015 samples have been tested so far, out of which 19,44,699 have turned out to be negative.
The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,15,316 out of which 283 are currently active.
As many as 33 patients were discharged from hospitals on Monday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,678.
The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.
So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,07,31,670 as fine in 88,387 incidents of mask violation.
Udupi
As per the district health bulletin, as many as 12,07,569 samples have been tested so far.
A total of 4 new cases were reported on Monday, taking the total number of cases to 76,659 out of which 56 are currently active.
A total of 9 patients were discharged from hospitals on Monday. Coronavirus has claimed 476 lives in the district so far.
So far 9,09,570 people have received the first dose of vaccination, while 4,85,501 have received the second dose.
A total of 53 cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) have been reported in the district so far.
