Bengaluru, Oct 26: Continuing his tirade against the Congress during his electioneering in the Hangal and Sindgi assembly constituencies, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday accused the opposition party of being responsible for creating the concept of votebank politics in the country and exploiting the vulnerable and backward sections.

“The concept of votebank politics is anathema in a democracy as it deprives the people the opportunity to come up in life,’’ he said asserting that bringing the backward classes and all other vulnerable sections in the mainstream and ensuring that they get opportunities of employment, education and other avenues was his goal.

Bommai met leaders of the backward Bhovi and other communities and alleged that the Congress party was raising the bogie of caste and religion with an eye on votes. The Congress leaders are not talking about the development of all sections but raising divisive issues, he alleged.

The Chief Minister said the ruling BJP was aiming at the development of all sections and the Hangal as well as Sindgi assembly constituencies.

He claimed that he had worked for the development of Hangal constituency and the Haveri district in the past as a legislator and later as a minister. He promised to continue to work with the same commitment as Chief Minister.

Bro. you are right but partially. Even i had the same feeling as he was brutally honest and apolitical and now he is paying the price for it. He praised Pandit. Nehru at the beginning of his term and he looked very very neutral and since he is an educated person unlike his predecessors we obviously thought he is an able administrator and a fair person. I was also sure his days are numbered because of the the kind of personality he was. But now the deadly duo has got to the better side of his. this was expected and the party with a difference is becoming very very ordinary and predictable. Life is more important than Chair.

This guy , I thought was honest and non communal leader but all my expectations are turned out to be false. He is more worse than his boss and more dangerous. In few months of his leadership he has created more problems than his predecessors. I am sure voters will see him for what he is .

Bommai as CM started to display characteristics of honesty, unbiased and just governance. He announced a lot of development projects and schemes but he is not speaking about them now during election speech but going back good old BJP’s tradition, culture and ritual of bashing and smear campaigning congress even thier private, personal and family matters. Is this more important to BJP than doing thier duty they are been elected. BJP is now clearly nervous about congress. Congress ghost is haunting BJP which means congress is strong and sure to win elections.
