Oct 29: Dakshina Kannada reports 35 corona cases, 1 death; Udupi adds 10 infections

Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 29: Dakshina Kannada on Friday, October 29 reported 35 new coronavirus cases and 1 death while Udupi registered 10 cases.

As per the Dakshina Kannada district health bulletin, a total of 20,89,164 samples have been tested so far, out of which 19,73,731 have turned out to be negative.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,15,433 out of which 279 are currently active.

As many as 24 patients were discharged from hospitals on Friday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,686.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,07,39,070 as fine in 88,461 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

As per the district health bulletin, as many as 12,15,637 samples have been tested so far.

A total of 10 new cases were reported on Friday, taking the total number of cases to 76,688 out of which 36 are currently active.

A total of 14 patients were discharged from hospitals on Friday. Coronavirus has claimed 476 lives in the district so far.

So far 9,18,808 people have received the first dose of vaccination, while 5,15,303 have received the second dose.

A total of 53 cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) have been reported in the district so far.

    Brace for the third wave ? Due to booster doses and children's vaccination in the west there will be another wave and higher number of deaths in liberal (another name of communist) west. So using that fear they would force or people would opt for so called 'saving' but killing vaccing here also.
