Karnataka reports 292 new corona cases, fatality rate at 3.76% with 11 deaths

Bengaluru, Oct 31: Karnataka on Sunday October 31 continued to maintain a steady rate of decline in the number of coronavirus cases, with the state recording 292 new infections.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 8,644. Among the districts, Bengaluru Urban registered the highest number of single-day cases with 137 new infections, while Mysuru reported 33 new cases and Dakshina Kannada 24.

A total of 11 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Sunday, with Bengaluru accounting for 7 of them, and Mysuru 2. With this, the toll so far has risen to 38,082.

The state recorded 345 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 29,41,578.

So far, Karnataka has seen 29,88,333 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 0.27%, while the case fatality rate for the day is 3.76%.

As many as 6,53,43,632 people have received vaccination so far.
