Mangaluru: Pipeline damaged, water supply to be affected

Mangaluru, Nov 3: Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) has informed that as the pipeline supplying water from Thumbe to Mangaluru city was damaged near Adyar Katte on Wednesday November 3.

MCC authorities will begin repair work later on Wednesday night which needs a shutdown at Thumbe for the work to be carried on.

Water supply across Surathkal, Kottara Chowki, Pacchanady, Panambur, Car Street, Kudroli, Bolur, Kodialbail and Hampankatta may be affected.

Citizens are kindly requested to cooperate, stated a release from the MCC.

    This regularly happens in this area from Adyar to Farangipete and beyond & seems to be the handiwork of miscreants who puncture the pipes intentionally to illegally draw water, but failed in their venture this time.

    There is No end for this type of problem, Corporation must think out of the box ideas to resolve these kind of problem to give non stop water to citizens, may be some other water storage fecility parellel supply till it get repaired.

    Citizens are requested kindly to cooperate ,repair work will beginn on wednesday.?Do citizens have any other option?Why cant they start such work immediately?Lot of water will be loosing ,atleast start to work .not wait till wednesday.Is it a good day?How people have to do without water.?Other wells or resources are polluted or dried up MCC must consider this.
