Nov 4: DK reports 16 corona cases, one death; Udupi adds six infections

Mangaluru/Udupi, Nov 4: Dakshina Kannada on Thursday, November 4 reported 16 new coronavirus cases. The case positivity rate for the district stands at 0.42%.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 2,11,21,462 samples have been tested so far, out of which 20,06,225 have turned out to be negative.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,15,536 out of which 210 are currently active.

As many as 25 patients were discharged from hospitals on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 113638.

The death in the district on Thursday is one. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,688.

The district administration has collected Rs 1,07,50,870 in fines for 88,579 mask violations.

Udupi

As per the district health bulletin, as many as 12,24,948 samples have been tested for the second wave of coronavirus.

As many as 6 new cases were reported on Thursday, taking the total number of cases to 76,731 out of which 33 are currently active.

A total of 12 patients were discharged from hospitals on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 76,222 for the second wave.
