Bengaluru, Nov 8: BJP SC Morcha former national general secretary, Chi Na Ramu, has alleged that he has heard that his brother Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, who happens to be Karnataka state BJP SC Morcha president, has converted into Christianity. He said he is utterly shocked by this information.
Ramu said that even after getting converted, Narayanswamy skilfully concealed this information, misled the BJP leaders, and by cheating them, joined the SC Morcha with which he has no connection. "He secretly visits the church every Sunday and offers prayers there. He changed his religion after marrying a Christian girl. His children too were married to Christians and the entire family is ardently following Christianity," are the allegations on Narayanaswamy which I have come across. His family, close ones and relatives too confirm that this is true, Ramu added.

Ramu said that this is quite surprising and worrying development. He accused his brother of doing all this clandestinely and this is a matter which can give rise to indignation among the BJP workers, he stated.
Ramu said that he had no objection Narayanaswamy was the follower of Christianity since the beginning. But he got converted not only himself but also his family, and maintained this a guarded secret. We are opposed to this, like every BJP worker and Hindu. Hinduism is a religion that has shown the light of way to the world and is a model for the entire mankind, he explained.
Ramu urged Chalavadi Narayanswamy, if it is true that he is secretly following Christianity, to immediately retract his steps and return to Hinduism. "On the other hand, he has to admit having cheated the party, seek apology from the leaders, and if the leaders pardon him, then join the minority morcha. He can declare that he is a Hindu by visiting the Gangamma shrine near the BJP state office, Circle Maramma temple nearby and Annamma temple where he has to offer puja along with family members," he demanded. If the family is following Christianity, the entire family should immediately return to Hinduism and follow the party policies and principles, he demanded.
Ramu said that religious conversion is a bane that has been harming Hinduism. He pointed out that party MLA Goolihatti Shekhar, had mentioned in the assembly about his mother having been converted and got her back into Hinduism.
"I am hurt by the allegations against my brother Chalavadi Narayanaswamy. I want him to give a fitting reply to his opponents. Let us together face the allegations and bring out the truth. Let me accompany your family to all thief temples to offer puja. I will arrange for the puja. After hearing the allegation, as a Hindu and Dalit, I have undergone lot of pain. Therefore, having been unable to bear the agony, I am making this public appeal. Let us bring out the truth and silence our detractors," he pleaded.
