Bengaluru, Nov 9: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has promised to sanction a grant of Rs 10 crore for the construction of Kannada Bhavan in Goa.
The Chief Minister made the promise when a delegation of Akhila Goa Kannada Mahasangha office-bearers called on him under the leadership of BJP National General Secretary C T Ravi at his Home Office of Krishna in Bengaluru on Tuesday.
Bommai appreciated the efforts of Kannadigas, who have settled in Goa and have still nurtured their love for the mother tongue and Kannada culture. Most of the settlers in Goa from the State are from northern Karnataka region.
