Mangaluru/Udupi, Nov 10: Dakshina Kannada on Wednesday, November 10 reported 13 new coronavirus cases while Udupi registered two cases.
As per the Dakshina Kannada district health bulletin, a total of 21,52,732 samples have been tested so far, out of which 20,37,116 have turned out to be negative.
The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,15,613 out of which 130 are currently active.
As many as 17 patients were discharged from hospitals on Wednesday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,692.
The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.
So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,07,58,170 as fine in 88,652 incidents of mask violation.
Udupi
As per the district health bulletin, as many as 12,35,927 samples have been tested so far.
A total of 2 new cases were reported on Wednesday, taking the total number of cases to 76,764 out of which 42 are currently active.
A total of 2 patients were discharged from hospitals on Wednesday. Coronavirus has claimed 476 lives in the district so far.
So far 9,20,760 people have received the first dose of vaccination, while 5,57,559 have received the second dose.
A total of 53 cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) have been reported in the district so far.
