Bantwal, Nov 11: MP and state BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel, said that before the next assembly election, Congress party in the state will split into three. He said that factions that are respectively loyal to D K Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah will fight against each other. He also predicted that the BJP will resume power by winning over 150 seats.
He was speaking at a party programme organized at Kambalapadavu in Pajeeru village in Bantwal taluk on Wednesday November 10.
Kateel reiterated that faction fighting has already begun within the Congress and the party can be expected to split into three shortly. "As the state BJP president, I can confirm that when the assembly election draws nearer, factions within the Congress with battle it out with each other for power," he added.
Kateel said that right from era of first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru, to Manmohan Singh, corruption and terrorism grew manifold. "During the last seven years of BJP rule, corruption has been eradicated and India has been going up the ladder in terms of administration, heritage and vision. The entire world has accepted Modi as a world leader," he said.
Minister, Angara, also spoke on the occasion. MLC Prathapasimha Nayak, BJP district president Sudarshan Moodbidri, former MLA K Jayaram Shetty etc were present.
