Nov 11: DK reports 17 corona cases; Udupi adds 3 infections

Mangaluru/Udupi,Nov 11: Dakshina Kannada on Thursday, November 11 reported 17 new coronavirus cases. The case positivity rate for the district stands at 0.29%.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 21,58,436 samples have been tested so far, out of which 20,42,803 have turned out to be negative.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,15,633 out of which 130 are currently active.

As many as 17 patients were discharged from hospitals on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 113811.

The death in the district on Thursday is nil. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,692.

The district administration has collected Rs 1,07,58,970 in fines for 88,660 mask violations.


Udupi

As per the district health bulletin, as many as 12,38,514 samples have been tested for the second wave of coronavirus.

As many as 3 new cases were reported on Thursday, taking the total number of cases to 76,767 out of which 40 are currently active.

A total of 5 patients were discharged from hospitals on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 76,251 for the second wave.
