Ramachandra Gowda Attacks JD(S) for Opposing Saree Distribution

Bangalore, Nov 10: Former Medical Education Minister and Deputy Chairman of the State Planning Board Ramachandra Gowda has lambasted the JD(S) for opposing and protesting against the distribution of sarees by the Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa for the mothers of the beneficiary girls covered under the Bhagyalakshmi Scheme.

The attitude of the JD(S) leaders, particularly former Chief Minister and State JD(S) President H D Kumaraswamy and Mandya JD(S) MP Cheluvarayaswamy, who is also a former minister, was ''highly undemocratic,” Ramachandra Gowda said.

In a press note here, Gowda said: ''It is most unfortunate that the JD (S) has proved to be hopelessly unprofessional and absolutely irresponsible.”

Pointing out that the JD(S) had proved itself to be ''completely incapable” of constructive, meaningful and intellectually stimulating debate on the floor of the legislature, he said the party leaders were now resorting to destructive approach outside the legislature as was evident by its conduct in Mandya.

The JD (S) has neither wisdom nor maturity to differentiate between an enemy and an opponent, the former minister said pointing out that the one-time ally of BJP was always interested in spewing venom and has been vicious and took hostile stance against the BJP for no valid, credible and logical reason.

“Intolerant attitude is something unhealthy in a parliamentary democracy,” he said Ramachandra Gowda contended that Bhagyalakshmi scheme was a revolutionary scheme conceived by Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa as Deputy Chief Minister cum Finance Minister under the Kumaraswamy-led JD(S)-BJP coalition regime.

The scheme was aimed at eliminating female foeticide and encourages girl’s education. The scheme has been lauded by the Central government and the Planning Commission.

“Yet the JD (S) refuses to see the ground reality and will be throw to the dustbin by the people,” he said.

mr.louis anna I feel very sorry to say that, you are very mean. You have got a attitude of finding fault in whatever mr.Yedyurappa or BJP does. Let Yedyurppa wear a saree or not it is none of your business.

JDS must not oppose this scheme, let Yeddyurappa wear a saree or distribute sarees, it’s under Bhagyalakshmi Scheme, let him bring sarees from Surat to promote Gujrat handicrafts to please Modi. if JDS want to distribute the blouse let them do it, nobody will oppose it. Unnecessary complication, 1st time BJP want to do something for the state let them do it.

Nice coverage....thanks to DAIJI,I pray GOD to give good sense of talking to Eddy and Eswarappa, because of their stupid statements BJPs achivements are going to dustbin.I think Gowda and company may not get shelter for some time...it shows their despirate behavier....even congress is trying to keep distance,Some one said in last article..India is a rich country.I clarify...India is a developing country, not a rich country, only politicians, industrilist, bussiness men and upper class people are rich, middle class people are some what having secured life, about 60 ~ 70% people are in poverty line.
