Bagalkot, Nov 21: "BJP candidates fighting the upcoming elections will become victorious just on the basis of Prime Minister's Narendra Modi's image, and secure a majority for the party. However, whether I will fight the assembly election again is a matter to be decided by the party high command," said former chief minister of Karnataka, B S Yediyurappa.
He was speaking to media persons in the town on Saturday November 20. "Leaders around the world have been applauding the Prime Minister. Modi has emerged in their own opinion as the world leader. Therefore, no one can stop the BJP from becoming victorious in the coming election," he predicted.
Yediyurappa informed that after the Jan Swaraj convention concludes, he will undertake another state-wide tour. He stated that his aim is to strengthen the party from the grassroot level and ensure that the BJP secures not less than 140 seats in the next assembly election in the state.
The top BJP leader from Karnataka, congratulated the Prime Minister on giving a big gift to the farmers by withdrawing the three farm loans. He said that even though it came a little late, the decision taken with a firm resolve is a big gift for the farmers. He thanked Modi for the same and said that the respect and trust in Modi among the farmers of the country has multiplied because of the fact that he did not hesitate in sacrificing his ego after seeing that the farmers were fighting against these laws resolutely.
"The farming community will reap a lot of benefits. They have carried out fights for 11 months. The Prime Minister has taken a decision after realizing the truthfulness of the agitators. The decision is welcome in the interests of the farmers. Many people undertaking this agitation have died for various reasons. All of us know about the series of incidents which happened then and the time is not ripe now to analyse them," he said, hitting back at the detractors of the BJP.
