Bantwal: Accident near Farangipet claims life of 26-year-old bike rider

Bantwal, Nov 21: In an accident that happened at Arkula near Farangipet here on Sunday November 21 morning, a bike rider lost his life after a car rammed into him.

The victim of the accident was Prajwal (26), son of Babu Naik, a resident of Neerkaje in Kepu village near Vittal.

He was an employee of New Mangalore Port Trust, Mangaluru.

Sources said that he was moving towards the company for work when a car knocked him down.

Prajwal suffered grievous injuries in the accident. The locals said that he breathed his last when being shifted to hospital.

    Shocking indeed 😑 if one were to put together the number of fatalities in ALL the metropolis across the entire country, the fatalities in coastal belt of Karnataka ALONE is a thousand times more than the accidents elsewhere. Only God Almighty can save the coastal belt of Karnataka.

    Very sad indeed, RIP to the departed soul, two wheeler is dangerous this truth we have to understand even parents, we are not safe on roads as before in this internet life we have seen most of the drivers of big vehicles like truck and buses busy chanting in one hand mobile and another hand in steering.

    Cynthia DK;tuka gotthunangi,Farangipet Bantwal wecha waater.Ani Omzoor yi Bantwal Talukanth.Maatr bither potta Saibini.Belman karkalcha waater.there also of late slowly accidents are increasing.Only Bantwal is a hotspot at the moment.Very bad transport.Buses coming going to and froChickmangalore etc.Have to wait a long time in que.Once I almost missed my flight waiting in long que.Sad the biker lost his life.May his soul rest in peace.Most of the people dont follow rules ,many times three wheelers or bikes try to over take or share in between big buses or trucks.Thats very dangerous.

    If the motorcycle rider was wearing a proper helpet with a secure strap, this accident could not be fatal from the way the condition of the motor cycle appears. Unfortunately, it is too late to regret.

    Lot's of people lost their lives at Arkula. it's a Accident HOTSPOT. It's a higway & always there is an barricade both sides. Traffic Police should take proper action before cost other lives.
