Karwar, Nov 23: The picture of the huge statue of Lord Shiva found at Murudeshwar, a famous spot of tourism in Uttara Kannada district, has been published in a publication of a notorious terrorist organization. There is suspicion that this could be inkling about the proposed terrorist attack at the site.
The photo of Lord Shiva at Murudeshwar has been edited to look like its skull has been cut off from the statue. It has been published in the ISIS publication. This photo has become viral on social media websites. A person named Anshul Saxena has posted this picture in his accounts in a bid to attract the attention of the government. The photo has been published in 'The Voice of Hind', the mouthpiece of ISIS. The picture is accompanied by the sentence, 'It is time to break the false gods'. A flag is depicted as fluttering in the skull area of the statue.
Even though there is no clarity about the picture being official, Saxena, in his posts, has urged the governments to take safety measures immediately. The police department could not give its response immediately. The people want the department concerned to check the veracity of the photo and other information and to ensure that such vandalism aimed at desecration is not allowed.
