S M Krishna Rubbishes Yeddy's Claims on Land Deals

Bangalore, Nov 16, (IANS): External Affairs Minister S. M. Krishna on late Monday denied he had denotified lands acquired by the Karnataka government to favour some people when he was chief minister of the sate during 1999-2004.

He was reacting to Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa's statement earlier Monday that not only he but several of his predecessors had denotified (freed from government control) the lands.

In a statement here Krishna said that between October 1999 and June 2004, over 2,000 acres of state's land was denotified to be utilised by various government departments.

The land so freed was for projects like the construction of outer ring road in Bangalore and for utilisation by Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) and others, Krishna said.

Yeddyurappa had said during Krishna's rule 633 acres of land was denotified. Yeddyurappa gave details of land denotified in the last ten years and also residential sites allotted by chief ministers under their discretionary quota to contend that he has not favoured his children in land deals.

Yeddyurppa chose to come out with the details following allegations that an auto component manufacturing firm, in which his two sons are directors, was favoured in allotment of prime industrial plot of two acres at Jigani industrial estate in the outskirts of Bangalore in 2007 when he was deputy chief minister.

The firm got the allotment within 15 days of applying for the land.

Yeddyurappa denied any wrong doing or violation of law in the allotment.

    If ever there should be an example of double standards, it is the behaviour of the BJP central leadership. They are using "fascist" tactics to paralyse parliament over 2G scam, while the concerned minister has resigned. While they continue to be oblivious to the corruption of Yeddyurappa and his forty thieves in Karnataka. Why blame RSS ? Yeddyurappa goes there once in a couple of weeks to Keshava Krupa and parks some of his ill-gotten wealth to the protectors and patrons of Hinduism and they keep their rotten mouths shut. This government is truly in its last legs, what will trigger it's fall is not very clear, but the quality of governance that people of KA got in the last 3 years leaves a lot to be desired.

    There is no doubt Mr. Krishna was first cheif minister to think about infrastucture developmet in Karnataka. And he suceeded certain extent in this goal. But unfortunately his own party people didnt like it. Because only few people in congress party are into liberal approach. Most of them are still believe in creating only vote bank politics. That is the reason they pushed Mr. Krishna out of state politics.
    This is also true that Mr. Yediyurappa aso done good job within a span of 2years in developing infrastructure. There are so many development in the sate. What I suggest opposition if they believe in democracy let him rule five years then next election please bring his governments scandals before us (voters). We decide again whether to elect this government or not. Congress & JDS dont have any moral right to ask governemt to resign becuase people has to decide this. All the parties should have simple knowledge of this.
    Please I suggest all the parties and politicians to stop thowring mud on each others face to fool the voters.

    Mr. Yeddi must know that Mr. S.M. Krishna who is the architecture of Modern Bangalore. He developed the roads and he who initiated many projects where every citizens are enjoying now. Mr. Yeddi you can not blame Mr. S. M. Krishna and do not try to escape from your evil attitude and cheating mentality. Let the BJP leaders like Mr. Vajpayee or even Mr. Advani tell us that you are Mr. clean. You are so stupid in this world History and it is fortunate we are having such cheating devil person as our C.M. You better get out from that chair and give the power to honest and sincere person. So far what your people did? They raped their friend’s wife, tried to kill, cheated their colleagues, and took law & order in their hand. You could not do anything for them and the funny thing is when you were in opposition why you din not raise your voice? You are really no. one evil person to Karnataka state. Only God has to protect every citizens from your evil things.

    S M KRISHNA WAS INTELLIGENT TO GET CREDITS FOR ALL THE WORKS DONE IN BANGALORE BY NDA UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF SHRIMAAN ATAL BEHARI VAJAPAYEE.

    DURING SMK'S TENURE NDA GAVE PREFERNECE TO BANGALORE WITHOUT ANY STEP MOTHERLY TRAETMENT.

    BUT NOW ITALIAN LED UPA IS HELL BENT ON TOPPLING SHRIMAAN YEDIYURAPPA'S BJP GOVT.

    SMK STAYED IN RS. 1,00,000.00 RENT PER DAY ACOMMODATION IN SEVEN STAR HOTEL & PAID FROM OUR TAX MONEY. PRANAB MUKHERJI WARNED HIM ABOUT HIS EXPENSES.

    WILL SMK DENY ABOVE ISSUE.
