Tumakuru: Man presumed dead, springs back to life after two months

Daijiworld Media Network - Tumakuru (SP)

Tumakuru, Dec 1: The funeral of a man who had died on September 18 this year had been performed by his family members. But to their utter surprise and confusion, the man who was cremated by them appeared in person before them.

This incident happened in Kodigenahalli revenue division of Madhugiri taluk, Tumakuru district. Nagarajappa of Malur village, who was a liquor addict, reportedly died because of this addiction three months ago. He had been admitted into NIMHANS hospital Bengaluru and then the emergency section of St John's Hospital there. The doctors had confirmed that he had died at the hospital and the family members had brought his body to the village where his funeral took place.

Nagarajappa (55), who was presumed dead, suddenly came home after getting down from a bus on Tuesday November 30. The family members and villagers were taken aback at this unexpected and surprising development. He claimed that he had escaped from the hospital. He just wants to be allowed to remain on his own so that he can live on his own terms and as per his own wishes. But he never has revealed so far where he was all along after he was presumed dead and after he escaped from the hospital.

Nagarajappa's second daughter, Netravati, said that it feels like a miracle. She says that all the family members are happy about the return of her father.

Some villagers speculated that at the time of issuing medical certificates and performing post-mortem, the hospital staff might have handled the corpse of a person whose facial features would have matched that of Nagarajappa.

Yama sent him back to serve his life term. as he was premature to enter the world of the dead. He was told that he has to wait a while longer! So, back to the world of the Living.

Hospitals are that much negligent? They cant make out the escape of its patient ? After escape, whom they declared as dead ? Whose body handed over to his family? Where are the house members of those whose body was cremated ? Why the family of cremated man were quiet when their member has not returned home ??? Really...chakravuyva

CYnthia DK,it is nt negligent but at present situation of Corona, where poor and old people are in a lot come to hospitals ,they have hardly time to see who is dead or alive ,who is who.someone dies, some doctor come and say he is not breathing is dead.I dont think they take much interest in that lot ,to go through un detail.Didnt you hear last time in Tumkur or so 2 patients were in freezer forgotten .someone came to clean and because of bad smell they saw bodies were forgotten.HOme people didnt show interest to take home.Other ones man was dead.so two months bodies ere simply forgotten by Hospital!so is the situation today because of corona. Some other body in freezer was kept for two days,as someone came in to take out found he was breathing and moving fingers.!as he is being taken out and given care ,,got well and went home.Home people were getting ready to cremate him ?so are things in Hospitals.

Prayers to the family (if any) of that unfortunate soul which will have to run pillar to post to get a death certificate and will be made to wait for 7 years.

What a blunder ! Other day two dead bodies were left in the morgue because of negligence. New born babies being delivered to wrong parents. Nothing but height carelessness or negligence. This man may live on his own and may live longer as per his wishes.
