Varushada Harusha-2010’ Fest Enthralls Art Lovers in City

Mangalore, Nov 19: ‘Varushada Harusha-2010’ an informative festival was organized by D K Art Teachers’ Educational Festival Committee at Milagres P U College here on Friday November 19.
















 

Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, president of D K Kannada Sahitya Parishad inaugurated the festival. Speaking on the occasion, he said that each person is gifted with a unique ability by God and one should respect the skills of other individuals.


A sculpture was inaugurated by Fr Deniz D’Sa, administrator of FMMC. Captain Ganesh Karnik, member of Karnataka Legislative Council was the chief guest. M Raghunath Shet and Koti Prasad Alva among others were present.


Ganesh Somayaji welcomed the gathering, while Shobha Bhaskaran delivered the vote of thanks. Satyanarayana and Tharanath compered the programme. An exhibition of paintings by eminent artist Gopadkar was displayed on the occasion. The committee will organize sand art competition in Panambur beach on Saturday November 20 to mark the valedictory ceremony.
