Young Minds Display Wonders of Science at District-level Exhibition

Mangalore, Nov 19:
The Pilikula Nisargadhama near here turned into a virtual scientific zone on Friday November 19 with students from various schools in Dakshina Kannada participating enthusiastically in a district-level science exhibition and children's science convention.

The exhibition and convention were organised under the joint aegis of the science and technology department of the state government, DK zilla panchayat public education department, Karnataka State Science Council, Bangalore and Pilikula Regional Science Centre, Mangalore.

The event was declared open by district minister-in-charge Krishna J Palemar who emphasized on the importance of understanding concepts like biological diversity, nature conservation and global warming.
 
He lauded the efforts of the organisers and urged them to conduct similar awareness programmes in the future also.
 
Nisargadhama executive director J R Lobo, Zilla panchayat president K Santhosh Kumar Bhandary, MLA Abhayachandra Jain and others were present.
