Mangaluru, Dec 5: Renowned music director Guru Kiran along with Mangaluru North MLA Dr Bharath Y Shetty inaugurated ‘Polar Bear - The Ice Cream Sundae Zone’ outlet here at Mannagudda on Sunday December 5.

MLA Dr Bharath Y Shetty said, “People of Mangaluru will be delighted that popular ice cream brand ‘Polar Bear’ is in Mangaluru. They have close to 100 branches in South India.”

Music director Guru Kiran said, “Polar Bear ice cream is famous in Bengaluru, especially the ‘Death by Chocolate’ ice cream. Ice creams are highly sold in Mangaluru and it has been a favourite among Mangalureans. People will be excited to taste ‘Polar Bear’ ice cream.

Kishore Rai, managing director, Honeycomb Retail India Private Limited said, “Polar Bear ice cream started in 2008 in Bengaluru which is now spread across to three states Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Bengaluru has 58 branches. There are 98 branches overall in three states. The outlet has now opened in Mangaluru and Manipal as well.”

The outlet has chocolate sundaes, family sundaes, kids’ sundaes, death by chocolate, fundaes, fruit sundaes, ice cream pizza, milk shakes, thick shakes, sandwich, faloodas, knock out sundaes and many more.
