Bantwal, Dec 7: MP and BJP state unit president, Nalin Kumar Kateel, said that the Congress will split into two before the 2023 assembly election and that the BJP will rise to power again in the next assembly election.
He was addressing a legislative council election campaign meeting held under the aegis of Punacha Mahshakti Kendra and Puttur rural Mandal of BJP at Kabaka Idkidu Society hall on Monday December 6.
He said that BJP candidate, Kota Srinivas Poojary, who has always become the voice of the panchayat members, has studied panchayat raj system in depth. Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister, S Angara, said that he and other leaders could rise to this level because of the hard work of the party activists. He said that the candidates after getting elected have to prove their mettle by achieving development. "Irrespective of how many candidates are in the field, we have to cast only one vote. It should be Kota Srinivas Poojary in the first number," he explained.
Puttur MLA Sanjeeva Matandoor and BJP district president Sudarshan Moodbidri also spoke on the occasion. MLC Pratapsimha Nayak, district divisional in-charge Udayakumar Shetty, assistant in-charge Rajesh Kaveri, Mandal in-charge Ramdas Bantwal and Venkat Volalambe were present.
Yashaswini Shastri rendered the prayer. Saja Radhakrihna Alva, BJP Puttur rural unit president welcomed. Punacha Mahashakti Kendra general secretary Dayananda Shetty proposed the vote of thanks. President of the Kendra, Hariprasad Yadav, presented the programme.
