Mangalore, Nov 22: It was an eventful time for kids, youngsters, housevives, teachers as well as for senior citizens as they got busy showcasing their talents at the ‘Kala Sangam–2010.’

The event, which began on October 30, drew to a grand end at the Mangalore Musical and Cultural Association, Gitanjali here on Sunday November 21.

A number of competitions designed to bring forth the talents of the participants were held during the course of the event. Some of the competitions were ‘Chitranjali’ (drawing), ‘Hastanjali’ (handwriting competition); ‘Likhanjali’ (essay); ‘Pushpanjali’ (flower arrangement), salad dressing, science model building, Bharatanatyam, music, dance, singing, elocution, fancy dress and so on.

The prize distribution ceremony for the winners of these events was held on Monday November 22.
