Karkala, Dec 13: Sadhvi Balika Saraswati said that Hindu beliefs and culture cannot be destroyed as long as Hindu activists continue with their sacrifices for the sake of their religion. She at the same time demanded for enacting strong laws against religious conversions, Love Jihad and for the protection of cows.
She was delivering the keynote address at a huge 'Hindu Sangama' programme organized by Karkala units of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal at the Gandhi Maidan here on Sunday December 12.
She said that the task of protecting the religion and giving a fitting response to those who steal cows from the cattle sheds have to be taken up by the people. She demanded that the cows be granted the status of being the mother of the nation. She exhorted every woman to turn in Jhansi Rani Lakshmi Bai towards stopping the menace of Love Jihad.
“Every Hindu household should keep swords in their homes for the protection of Go Matha,” she said.
She further said, “We should condemn those praising Tipu Sultan. Ram Mandir is under construction in Ayodhya. Learning culture should be or first priority,” she said. Sadhvi also pressurized the government to enforce strict anti-cow slaughter law and law against conversion and Love Jihad.
Her address in Hindi which was interspersed with a few Kannada words at the beginning and the end, received repeated applause and raising of slogans from the crowd.
Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji, head of Pejawar Math, said that the people are now able to hold their heads high because of the sacrifices and services of activists who have dedicated their lives to the cause of conserving our culture. Sri Kalahastendra Swaraswati Mahaswamiji in his benedictory address said that traitors should not be allowed to stay in the land of peaceful and demanded for the implementation of uniform civil code in the country.
Avadhut Vinay Guruji felt that the process of sensitizing about the religion towards the survival of Hinduism has to be undertaken at a young age. He said he will be launching a signature campaign seeking to withdraw cases against the Bajrang Dal activists and announced a fund of Rs 50,000 for the Datta Nidhi.
