Billawas Dubai 13th Anniversary Celebrations on Dec 10

Dubai, Nov 25: Billawas Dubai & Northern Emirates are enthusiastically preparing for their 13th anniversary celebration which is due to be held on 10th of December, 2010 (Friday) at Jumeirah Ballroom Crowne Plaza Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai.

The day long celebration in traditional ambience will include vibrant dances depicting our Tuluva culture, Yakshagana ballets, Traditional Dances, DJ Music and many more presentations performed by young and energetic youths of Billawas.  It is learnt that there are many surprise performances by Billawa ladies and elders.  Not only that there will be guest performer Mohanraj, a well known choreographer/dancer arriving all the way from Mangalore for this great event.  Billawas Dubai has presented brilliant colourful shows year after year which has been well appreciated by the guests and various community leaders.  The entertainment team lead by Jagannath Bellare under the leadership of President Mohan Attavar is busy preparing for this great event.

Many community achievers in various fields such as Education, Social Service,  Performing Arts etc will be felicitated with awards on that day. Many Community leaders from Mangalore and other parts of the gulf are scheduled to arrive prior to the event.

Prof. Thukaram Poojary (President,  Rani Abbakka Tulu  Adhyayana Kendra) will grace the occasion as Chief Guest . He will be accompanied by his wife Prof. Ashalatha who is Vice President of Rani Abbakka Tulu Adhyana Kendra.  Mr. Yogish G. Kotian Chairman of Guru Charitable Trust , Chennakeshava Trustee and Chandrashekar Sanil Trustee, Guru Charitable Trust will attend as Guests of honour.

Billawas Dubai & Northern Emirates is an association for Billawa Community in UAE whose main objective is to support the needy community students back in India in their education by providing scholarship facilities to students studying Medical, Engineering, Technical, Graduate and Post-Graduate  courses.  . .

So far more than 602 students and 5 organizations have been benefitted with a support of over IRs.25 Lakhs. The identification and short listing is being strictly and ably done by an independent body called "Guru Charitable Trust" , Surathkal which is a youth wing of Billawas in Dakshina Kannada.  Billawas Dubai has also supported families back home with Medical aids to more than 58 cases to the tune of IRs. 9.41 Lakhs.  In additional to this , Billawas Dubai has provided social support to 6 extreme cases to the tune of around IRs.9.5 Lakhs. 

The association has also contributed towards construction of houses for the needy amounts to around IRs.76 thousand. These contribution to society is as per the important principles, preaching and teachings of the great saint philosopher Brahmashree Narayana Guru which is being strictly followed by the organization.

The great contribution of Billawas Dubai & Northern Emirates to their brethrens have been appreciated and hence are receiving an average of 5 to 7 applications a month from the needy fellow community members and their families back home.

Billawas Dubai & Northern Emirates while celebrating their 13th anniversary are at the same time minimizing their expenses so that they can contribute more to their society back home.
