Mangaluru, Dec 14: MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, said that the central government headed by Narendra Modi has been striving to bring back the eminence and honour of the traditions, belief system and cultural values of the country along with developing the nation.
He was speaking at a programme of watching the direct telecast of the 'Divya Kashi, Bhavya Kashi' programme held at Varanasi to dedicate to the world the renovated and reconstructed portions of the holy temple of Lord Vishwanatha there, in the premises of Kadri Lord Manjunatheshwara temple. The programme was arranged by the city south Mandal unit of the BJP.
"Ram Mandir is coming up in Ayodhya. Kashi and Kedarnath, both holy places of Hinduism, have been resurrected. Our next goal is to build the temple in Mathura. Swami Vivekananda dreamed for the country to rise on the basis of spiritual ideology. Prime Minister Modi is realising this dream. After 2014, the spiritual thinking has been strengthened. The temples which had suffered at the hands of foreign invaders are now being given a new look and renovated. We have given lot of importance to purification of Ganga river and offering the Ganga Arati," he explained.
BJP district unit chief Sudarshan Moodbidri, mayor Premananda Shetty, chairman of Karnataka Fisheries Development Corporation, Nitin Kumar, Mangaluru Urban Development Authority chairman Ravishankar Mijar etc were present.
BJP city south Mandal general secretary Roopa Bangera welcomed and compered the programme. Surendra Jeppinamogaru proposed vote of thanks. The people who had gathered there watched the direct telecast of the programme, 'Divya Kashi Bhavya Kashi from Varanasi.
